Halloween

October is an intriguing month. Some call it ‘Socktober’, ‘Locktober’, or ‘Cocktober’. But for me, it’s all about Halloween. As a huge horror fan, I fully embrace the spooky spirit of the season. Every year, I challenge myself to create a design that blends my love for horror with my collage skills.

Halloween 2025: ADONIXX N°50

Created for Halloween 2025 as a tribute to the 50th anniversary of Jaws and vintage aqua-horror posters and pulp comics in general. The collage combines AI-generated elements with other visuals I reworked. Those old aqua-horror posters always showed (half)naked women under attack (think of Piranha, Piranha II, Up from the Depths, Alligator, or Tintorera), so I thought it was time for a male version. I hope to create more covers under the name Adonixx in the future, blending horror subgenres with erotic fantasy.

Halloween 2024: Evil Dad 2

I’ve always wanted to create a horror poster in that iconic 80s style. As a child, I spent hours staring at the VHS covers in the horror section of the video store. I wasn’t allowed to watch the movies, but the artwork always fascinated me. Often, the films turned out to be less scary or impressive than their covers. Even the poorly designed ones had a certain charm. I was especially drawn to the painted collages featuring scenes from the films. Using photos and AI-generated images, I was finally able to create my own design: Evil Dad 2.

To enhance the nostalgic feel, I created both a front and back cover for a VHS box to mimic the artwork of an original (adult-themed) horror film. This allowed me to combine the clean, detailed look of the poster with a trashier style. By adding stickers, bold text, and extra details, the design gets a more campy feel.

The inspiration for this poster came from seeing an AI-created image by @MaleArtAI, part of his Magic Circles Power series.
